Our Story

Kea First Steps was founded by Paris Kea, a former WNBA player who understands the mental resilience needed to excel both on and off the court. Having experienced the pressures of professional sports firsthand, Paris created Kea First Steps as a mentoring program focused on equipping athletes with mental skills to thrive. Rooted in a belief that mental health is essential to success, Kea First Steps supports athletes in building a foundation of mental strength, empowering them to navigate challenges, develop resilience, and reach their full potential. Our mission goes beyond sports—our profits fund affordable mental health services for those who need them, ensuring that everyone has access to the tools needed for mental wellness.
